The Roswell Police Department believes the Decatur woman whose body was found near the Chattahoochee River on Sunday died at another location.

Investigators are asking the public to provide any information they can on the death of Markeesha Taylor, whose body was found near the Chattahoochee River. Taylor, 20, was found on a bank near the river around 1:25 p.m. Sunday, May 11, at Vickery Creek Park. The park is located off Riverside Road in Roswell.

Holland said investigators believe Taylor's death did not occur on the property and "that her body was dropped off at the location."

The cause of death has not been determined, she said.

The agency is asking the public to help them locate any of Taylor's friends or acquaintances as they believe they could help in the investigation.

If you knew Taylor or know her friends, contact Roswell detective Jeff Sanders at (770) 640-4464.
