Nobody Hurt When Honda Clips School Bus in Decatur

Decatur police said the car was trying to pass when the accident happened on West College Avenue.

Decatur police said a car and a school bus were involved in minor wreck Thursday afternoon.

Capt. Scott Richards said a 1994 Honda Accord tried to pass and cipped the rear bumper of the bus. The wreck happened about 4 p.m. in the eastbound lane of West College Avenue, near the intersection with McDonough Street.

Nobody was hurt and damage was minor, Richards said. Police wrote a warning to the Honda driver for failing to maintain their lane. The bus carried students but was not full, he said.
