Naked Burglary Suspect Denied Bond

Bond has been denied for the Decatur man accused of breaking into several homes while wearing only a cowboy hat.

Bond has been denied for the Decatur man accused of breaking into several homes, including one owned by Johns Creek City Councilwoman Cori Davenport, while wearing only a cowboy hat.

Ashdon Gibbs, 21, of Decatur is facing several charges in relation to the break-ins, according to WSB-TV. The councilwoman, who said she was upstairs at the time, told the news agency that her daughter was in the kitchen when Gibbs walked into the house.

Her daughter screamed and when she came downstairs to see what the commotion was about, Davenport said she saw the man flee through her neighborhood.

Police say Gibbs first stole a truck from his neighbor’s driveway in Decatur before walking into other houses sans clothes.

Neighbor Jay Irvin told WSB that he usually sees Gibbs at night. “He always has on black, like a suit, white shirt," Irvin said.

Irvin said Gibbs' family told him he was recently released from the hospital.

Gibbs remains in the Fulton County Jail without bond.
