Man Shot, Killed During Argument

A heated argument at a house in Decatur left one man dead early this morning.

WSB-TV is reporting that police were called to an address on Woodfern Drive at 3 a.m. and on arrival found the homeowner with a bloody nose and a bruised elbow. He told police that he had attempted to break up a fight between two visitors, one of whom was shot and killed by the other.

Investigators do not have much information on the deceased man, but he is said to be in his 30s. No arrests have been made and no weapons found, and the shooter remains at large.

The homeowner, who apparently was drunk during the incident, is expected to provide more details to investigators once he is sober.
