Decatur Police Say Honda Civic Stolen

Other residents reported thefts of coins, an iPhone and a wallet.

This information comes from Decatur police reports.

Honda Civic stolen. A resident of the 400 block of East Pharr Road told police the morning of Sept. 13 that his red, 2000 Honda Civic had been stolen. He parked the car in front of his house about 9 p.m. the night before and discovered it gone the next morning. There were no signs of forcible entry.

Coins missing. A resident of the 300 block of Greenwood Avenue called police Sept. 12 to report about $125 in coins missing from his apartment. He kept the coins, mostly quarters and half dollars, in two Country Crock butter containers underneath his bed. He last saw the coins at 6 p.m. Sept. 10 and noticed them missing about 24 hours later.

Wallet taken. An employee at the DeKalb County DFCS Office said her wallet was taken from her purse Sept. 13. She put the purse into a cabinet above her desk, left the office about 1:30 p.m. and returned around 5 p.m. to find the purse still there but the wallet gone. The wallet contained $240 cash, two credit cards, her drivers license, her Social Security card and other cards.

Phone stolen. A Decatur High student reported Sept. 7 that his iPhone was taken from an unsecured locker in the boys locker room. He put the phone in the locker the morning of Sept. 6 and couldn't find it when he returned the morning of Sept. 7.
