Have You Seen This Truck? Photo Released of Suspected Fatal Hit-And-Run Vehicle

DeKalb County Police have released a surveillance photo of a truck they believe ran over two children near the Tucker Walmart. One child died from his injuries.

DeKalb County police on Monday released a picture of the white camper truck they believe hit and killed a 2-year-old boy, ran over his sister, near the Walmart on Tucker Norcross Road.

Police say the driver hit the 2-year-old boy and his 4-year-old sister as they were standing next to the road with their mother about 5 p.m. Saturday.

Patch reader Jasmine Mitchell wrote that she was driving by the scene when the incident happened, and can’t believe the driver would not stop to help.

“I will be praying for this poor angel's family,” Mitchell wrote. “May he rest in peace... and may his family find comfort... and please let them catch this cold-hearted animal that kept driving.”
