Who is that man? A woman who lives in the 1100 block of South Candler Street discovered a stranger trying to break into her house.
The woman said she heard a noise coming from her screened-in back porch about 10:20 a.m. Dec. 10 and went to check. She discovered a man trying to unlock the screen door. When the man saw her, he walked away swiftly toward Hosea Williams Boulevard.
She described him as black with short hair or a shaved head. He was wearing a tan and brown checkered shirt and dark brown pants.
Quick work. It didn't take burglars long to break into a house in the 200 block of Sterling Street.
The resident told police she left about 4:22 p.m. Dec. 13 and received a call from her alarm company about 4:30 p.m. She went home and discovered the rear French doors open.
An Apple Macbook was the only thing taken, but a lamp was knocked over and the printer tipped on its side.
Gaming system gone. A Griffin Circle resident came home and discovered her home was burglarize
She left about 10 a.m. Dec. 6 and returned around 5:30 p.m. The house was entered through the front door. Taken were a Nintendo3DS worth $150 and a Wii gaming sysem worth $250.
She also reported that her dog was missing. He apparently ran out the opened door and returned the next morning.
