Decatur Police Seek Public's Help in Aug. 30 Armed Robberies

Can you identify this man who is suspected of being involved in a series of armed robberies?

The Decatur Police Department issued this alert and update regarding the Aug. 30 robberies of students:

On Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, the Decatur Police Department responded to and began investigating three armed robberies of students as they left the Decatur High School football game.  Investigators have identified and arrested three suspects in these cases.

The following three suspects are in custody and have been charged with armed robbery:

  • 16-year-old D’Angelo Mikal Giles of Atlanta
  • 17-year-old Jaree Jalon Jackson Jr. of Atlanta
  • 17-year-old Javarous Devonte Hammond of DeKalb County
The Decatur Police Department would like to thank the Marta Police Department, Atlanta Police Department and DeKalb County Police Department for all of the assistance we have received over the past three weeks.
