Decatur Police: 2 Cars, 3 Bikes Stolen
Police also said that a store's money bag and a backpack were taken.

Two vehicles stolen. A 1995 Acura Legend was discovered missing the morning of Sept. 30 from a residence in the 100 block of West Hill Street. The owner last saw the car about 9 p.m. the night before. She said she might have left the door unlocked. A 1991 Chevrolet GMT-400 was reported stolen the morning of Sept. 19 from the 100 block of Coventry Road. The vehicle was last seen the night before. Inside the vehicle were a driver's license, a GPS, $70 in cash, a $60 personal check, a paycheck and a key to a safe deposit box.
Money bag taken. A gray deposit bag holding about $1,500 in cash was taken the morning of Sept. 25 from Best Time Convenience Store at 545 N. McDonough St. Police were told the bag was placed on a shelf near the cash register while numerous customers were inside the store. The store owners hope to access security camera video.

Backback missing. A woman told police Sept. 22 that she tied her backpack to a light pole near the Marta station entrance on Church Street and came back about 15 minutes later to discover it gone. The backpack contained a wallet holding her Social Security card and California identification card.
Three bikes stolen, one stripped.

- On the night of Sept. 20, a 19-inch GT Tachyon hybrid style bike was discovered missing from a bike rack on a car in a parking lot in the 200 block of Swanton Way. The bike, designed for triathlon competitions, was valued at $800.
- On Sept. 22, a Fuji hybrid bike was reported stolen from a porch in the 600 block of Third Avenue. It was valued at $600.
- On Sept. 26, the owner of a Grind 80 Spinner 28.4 mm bicycle reported that somebody had stripped the bike of the chain, seat, handle bars and back tire while it was secured to a bike rack at Renfroe Middle School. The value was $250.
- On Sept. 29, a black Schwinn cross style mountain bike was reported stolen from the 200 block of East Lake Drive. It was valued at $350.
