Update: Photos of Wreck at Restaurant

No drive-thru: Mobeta Wings on East College Avenue has closed for the time being because a driver crashed into the front door.

A wings restaurant will be closed for a while because of damage that occured last Thursday when a woman drove her 2006 Lexus into the front door.

According to a DeKalb County Police Department report, Catherine Keeler, 52, of Woodlawn Avenue in Decatur said she was backing up from and hit a concrete post in the parking lot.

When she placed her vehicle in drive, she told police, the car accelerated and went through the front door of the building on East College Avenue.

Keeler complained about some knee pain, but nobody inside the restaurant was injured, police said. No charges were filed in the accident that happned about 12:45 p.m.

The front door of the restaurant is boarded up and signs announce its closure. Mobeta's Wings is located in the strip of unincorporated DeKalb County between Decatur and Avondale Estates.
