Avondale Estates Police Investigate Theft Of Tools From Shed

Officers also arrest man who didn't pay for a meal at Waffle House.

A Clarendon Avenue resident told about $250 in tools were stolen from a storage building on her property.

 The resident said she found a door to the storage building open the morning of Sept. 26, according to an investigation report.

 Taken were a blower, a miter saw, a weed eater and a 50-foot extension cord. No arrests have been made.

 Avondale police arrested a man accused of walking out of Waffle House without paying for his meal.

Officers were called to the restaurant on College Avenue the afternoon of Sept. 20 and found the manager and the man standing outside. The manager said the man ordered and ate a meal worth $6.95 and then left.

Police said Victor Hill, 25, of Cleveland, Tenn., told them he had no money and showed his empty pockets. Hill was charged with theft of services and taken to the DeKalb County Jail.
