Avondale Burglary Loot Recovered

Police searched the woods and found a flat-screen television from the residence.

Burglary victims in Avondale Estates got some of their stuff back.

A house in the 3000 block of Kensington Road was broken into between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, through a ground level window, police said.

Jewelry and a flat-screen television were taken, along with a grill cover.

Police combed the woods around the house and found the television hidden and wrapped up in the grill cover.

Evidently the burglars planned to return later and pick up the loot, officers said.

Bike stolen. A woman said her 21-speed bike was taken between 8 and 11 a.m. Sept. 3 from the Avondale Community Pool at 51 Dartmouth Road. The bike was valued at $520.

Backpack taken. A man said his backpack was stolen from an unlocked vehicle the night of Aug. 31. The vehicle was parked outside a Majestic Circle residence.
