African Americans and Michele Henson

I was visited by an African American woman canvasing for Michelle Henson. I asked the young lady, why her candidate wasn't canvasing for herself? She said Michelle was too busy with other matters and she proceeds to speak very highly of her. I became really interested in knowing more about this candidate who is too busy to canvass in my community and sends an alternate instead.  I decided to research Michelle Henson.  What I discovered about her was quite disturbing to me.

I discovered this pattern of soliciting minorities to do her dirty work has a long history in her family. She was raised in Boston, Mass in a  household with  African American maids and nannies;  now in her campaign the only positions an African American is worthy of holding are canvassing neighborhoods, placing signs in yards and giving handouts.  I'm an African American female and to Michelle Henson I'm valued very low on her scale. Please people, do your research and always remember when someone show you who they are, believe them.

Peace and blessings.

So, because she has an African American woman canvassing for her you decide YOU are valued very low on her scale? You really need to stop trying so hard to find racism. You're part of the problem.

That African American lady was a volunteer. She chose to use her free time to support a candidate that represents her values. I am canvassing for a candidate because he needs volunteers to get his message out. Early voting starts on April 28th. This candidate cannot be in ten places at once. Since I support his policies, I choose to do this as a service to my fellow citizens. You cannot put a price tag on Liberty.

Why should anyone dislike Ms. Henson, because her family employed housekeepers in their home? My grandmother worked as a domestics for the same family for decades. They loved her like family and it put my dad and his sisters through school.

Ms. Clark, Why is the canvasser's ethnicity (or that of yourself) of any relevance? You imply Ms. Henson is a racist - why not just come out and say it? I'm sure she'd be happy to sue you for slander. If you are really on the hunt for a racist... look in the mirror.
