How to use visualization as a tool for manifesting.

Sit quietly for a moment and think about what you would like to manifest in your life. For some it is a matter of life and living and for others it is as simple as a new car or another material item. I can assure you that whatever your desire, it is possible to accomplish the formula within a few simple steps….Believing is seeing!

1. First be clear on exactly what you want…be careful what you ask for!

2. Practice visualization skills….sit quietly, palms facing upward, legs uncrossed or perhaps lying in a comfortable position.

3. Take deep breaths….in through your nose to the count of 4 and out through your mouth to the count of 8.

4. I always take a moment and think of all the things that I am grateful for…for me it is the simple things like being able to breathe, see, hear, touch, walk, talk, love, laugh, yada yada….

5. There will come a point where you will get settled in and be able to connect…..much like the internet….seize the opportunity and begin seeing yourself with whatever it is that you want. For example, say I want to heal something like a leg injury. I see myself walking with a normal gait without complication or pain. I see myself smiling and begin to pick up the pace. I feel my heart beating faster as I begin to jog then run, beads of sweat run off my face….woo hoo!

6. I actually feel what it’s like to be running and ALL of the sensory effects that I’m experiencing. The adrenaline rush is moving through my tummy! My leg is perfect. This is what Lynn Grabhorn, author of “Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting”, referred to as the power of positive feeling.

7. Hold this feeling for about a minute. Some say less though I say more because what we are doing is reprogramming our neural pathways….much like bio feedback. In order to get up and pick up a box of tissue, we have to think about it first… so by engaging our neural pathways, we are setting off the cascade necessary to manifest our desire.

8. Develop a mantra such as ‘my leg is perfect, my range of motion is normal, I can, I will, I am!!’

9. Practice makes perfect! I recommend doing this exercise daily and you will be surprised what you can manifest! Again, you can use this technique on anything you wish! You will also notice a change in attitude and confidence. Learn to listen to the voices that appear during those quiet times. You’ll be surprised at who may show up to give you guidance!

Have used it from time to time; should do it more. Years ago, ran my best ever marathon by training and visualizing crossing the finish line strong and rested in a certain time. "Saw" the finish line clock in Piedmont Park for a few weeks before the race, with a time of 3:38 on it. And that's what I ran it in. Coincidence? Luck? Perhaps.

Steve, I truly believe in visualization, meditation, prayer, positive thinking...etc. As a heaIth care provider, I have seen them work miracles on numerous occasions! Yours is a perfect example of how to really take advantage of this magnificent tool. I also like to "feel" the success of my vision. Best to you if you are participating in this years race! <3
