Why go: Raise a pint for water conservation by joining Generation Green for Save Water, Drink Beer. Gen Green’s members, supporters and friends will gather for a night of fun and a performance by local folk rockers Book Club. One drink ticket is included with the ticket purchase and all proceeds go to support the Georgia Conservancy's statewide conservation work.

Why go: This is the first show of the year for this highly popular concert series. It's a low-stress, family event. Spread a blanket on the grass, sip a drink, nibble on snacks and listen to Jules and The Gents.

Avondale Estate's Easter Egg Hunt and Dog Parade
When/where: Saturday, April 7, at Lake Avondale, 59 Lakeshore Drive, Avondale Estates. Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. and dog parade at 11 a.m.
Why go: Because kids love looking for Easter eggs, and adults love to watch them do it. The dog parade is always a hoot. You don't have to put your dog in a costume, but some people do. Plus, there's music, food and a bake sale.
Price: Free.
When/where: 8 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at , 1447 Church St, Decatur.
Why go: This class is for people who are new to yoga and good for those who want to start with the basics and progress from there.

Antique Car Parade In Avondale Estates
When/where: Sunday, April 8, with lineup beginning at the Twin Oaks Shopping Plaza at 2853 E. College Ave. at 1:30 p.m. The parade starts at 2:30 p.m. and ends at Willis Park, where cars will be on display.
Why go: To see old cars rolling down the street. Refreshments will be provided by the Model A Restorers Club. Here's the parade route.

When/where: 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 8 at Woodlands Garden, 932 Scott Blvd., Decatur.
Why go: Because this wooded sanctuary in the middle of urban Decatur is in full bloom.
