Composting Workshop Saturday

It will be held at 9 a.m. at the Oakhurst Community Garden.

The Decatur Library and the (now called the Wylde Center) have presented a series of this year.

They touch on subjects such as "Your Edible Garden," "Sustainable Landscaping" and "Drought and Rain Gardens -- Prepare for Both."

The latest class in the series will be a compost workshop for the whole family.

It will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Oakhurst Garden at 435 Oakview Road, Decatur.

The garden says, "Join the staff of the Oakhurst Community Garden Project and learn all there is to know about composting. Families will rotate through hands-on stations learning stations. Learn how to take care of a pile, what do you do with the compost once it is finished? Please RSVP to Andrea Zoppo, andrea.zoppo@yahoo.com."
