Why Mutts Rule and DeKalb County Animal Services Pets of the Week

Happy Holidays from LifeLine Animal Project!  We are so thankful for all of you who support us by donating money or items, volunteering, fostering or adopting one of our wonderful animals.  If you’re considering getting a new family member this holiday season, please consider adopting a mutt!  Mixed breeds make wonderful companions for anyone.  Not only are they the best of many breeds rolled into one, but they are less prone to genetic diseases that afflict many purebred dogs.  Also, according to studies conducted in Denmark and North America, they have longer life spans.  So adopt a mutt today, and save a life.  Are you ready?  Then we’ve got a mutt for you!

DCAS Pets of the Week:  Sandy and Ayako

Sandy is a ten-month-old Shepherd mix with a beautiful tan coat.  This girl is smart, happy and loves to be play.  She gets along well with other dogs and would make a great playmate for another dog or activity partner for you.

Ayako is a pretty striped kitty with lovely soft fur.  This two-year-old beauty is very affectionate, sweet and loves people.  Ayako has tested positive for FIV, but can live a normal and long life with someone who loves her.
