Shelter Classics Promotion at DeKalb Animal Services Offers FREE and Reduced Adoption Fees on Long Term Residents!

DeKalb Animal Services (DCAS) current promotion is too good to pass up!   To give animals that have been at the shelter more than one month a better chance of getting adopted, DCAS is offering a special promotion called ‘Shelter Classics.’

All dogs and cats that have been at the shelter for over a month are only $20.  Additionally, any animal that has been available for adoption at the shelter for more than two months may be adopted for free!  What a great deal for a spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and heartworm tested dog, cat, puppy or kitten!  Standard adoption screening criteria still applies.  Animals eligible for the promotion will have a ‘Shelter Classics’ logo on their cages.

DCAS Pets of the Week:  Margarita, Roger and Daisy

One of the wonderful dogs available for FREE is Margarita, a beautiful, one-year-old girl who is very outgoing and loves to play.  Margarita weights 40 lbs and gets along well with other dogs.  This energetic cutie would make a great playmate for another dog, or a reliable walking or running buddy for you.

Our next pet of the week is Roger, a one-year-old Labrador Retriever mix.  This friendly boy loves to play with other dogs, toys and people.  Roger is smart, knows some commands and is loving.  His charming personality will win you over!

And finally, can you say cute?  This is baby Daisy, an adorable three-month-old calico kitten who is good with other cats and young enough to learn to socialize with dogs.  Daisy is a friendly kitten who is ready to start her life with a family who will love her forever.
