Koala Wants to be Your Teddy Bear

A Fairy Tale About a Gorgeous Maine Coon Cat Who Needs a Happy Ending

Once upon a time, a beautiful, 17 lb., Maine Coon cat named Koala lived the life any kitty would envy.  He lived in a home with a sweet, old lady who loved him very much and let him sit on her lap everyday while she pet him.  He lived that way for seven years, and was a very happy boy.

But good things don’t always last forever, and one day, Koala’s beloved lady died.  The lady’s family decided to leave Koala in the house while they settled the estate, and, although they had a caretaker feeding him everyday, he was very lonely.  Finally, the home was sold, but no one wanted to take Koala.  Luckily, LifeLine Animal Project’s Cat Rehabilitation Director, Mickie Blair, found out about Koala and took him into LifeLine’s Kitty Motel.

Since Koala had never been around other cats, he didn’t get along with the other residents of the Kitty Motel, so he was moved into a cage.   But LifeLine’s Cat Caretaker Shana says the cages weren’t made for big boys like Koala, and he needs more space to be happy.  A foster or forever home would be perfect.

According to Shana, Koala loves to cuddle and snuggle and would be great a great companion for anyone who would make him their only pet.  Can you give this eight-year-old boy the fairytale ending he deserves by fostering or adopting him?  If so, please email Shana at Shana@lifelineanimal.org.
