MARTA Modifies Service Schedule for Christmas Holiday

All rail lines will run every 20 minutes.

MARTA will operate a modified Saturday schedule on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 24, and a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25th.

MARTA’s modified bus service on Christmas Eve includes the operation of Routes 24, 143 and 148, which will operate on a weekday schedule on Christmas Eve, as those routes do not normally operate on Saturdays. All other bus routes will run on normal Saturday schedules.

Modified rail service will run on a Saturday schedule on Christmas Eve, however, service will start at a weekday time, approximately 5 a.m. All rail lines will run every 20 minutes.

Red Line trains on Christmas Eve will run from North Springs to Airport stations until 9 p.m., when Red Line trains will turn back at Lindbergh Center. All Green Line trains will operate from Bankhead to King Memorial stations until after 8:30 p.m., when Green Line trains will run only from Bankhead to Vine City.

On Christmas Eve, the Five Points RideStore will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the Airport RideStore will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Both locations will be closed on Christmas Day.

The Reduced Fare office will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24 at both the Five Points and Headquarters locations. The Lost & Found office at Five Points Station will also open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Both the Reduced Fare offices and Lost & Found office will be closed on Christmas Day.

The information booth at Five Points Station will be open Christmas Eve from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., but will be closed Christmas Day.
