Avondale's Tour of Homes Set for Sunday

This year's tour embraces the old and the new as one of the oldest homes in the city as well as several of the newer homes in town are featured.

The 21st Annual Avondale Estates Tour of Homes is scheduled for this Sunday, Dec. 15 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Participants will take the two-hour tour around the city of the via a trolley that will leave from the Avondale First Baptist Church, 47 Covington Road.

This year's tour embraces the old and the new as one of the oldest homes in the city as well as several of the newer homes in town are featured.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 on day of tour.

  • City Hall: 21 S Avondale Plaza
  • Finders Keepers: 84 North Avondale Road
  • Seventeen Steps: 235 Ponce de Leon Place (Decatur)
  • Community Club on the day of the tour: 59 Lakeshore Dr. (Visa and MasterCard accepted at the Community Club.)
The trolleys are scheduled to leave from the Avondale Estates First Baptist Church parking at 3 p.m., 3:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. The evening trolleys depart from the church parking lot at 5:30 p.m., 5:45 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
