Some women in the Decatur area formed 50 Cents. Period about a year ago to provide health products such as sanitary napkins to young women in developing nations.
Now the group is asking for help -- quick.
Refugee women needing sanitary napkins will be arriving in the Decatur area soon. The group will be collecting these products until 6 p.m. Thursday at at 427 Church St., Decatur.

If you'd like to donate, stop by the store. The group only needs sanitary napkins -- no tampons.
In case you're wondering, 50 Cents. Period picked that name because half a dollar will will provide a month's worth of sanitary napkins for a girl in a developing nation. They often miss school because they don't have enough napkins.
