Why go: The Leadership Academy will host this event, which includes Vegas style casino table and games, live music and a DJ, beverages and hors d'oeuvres and prizes throughout the evening.

Pricing: $20 in advance, $25 at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Leadership Academy and Diamonds and Pearls, which focuses on conflict resoulution, leadership akills and mentoring children into productive future leaders. You can buy tickets online.

Why go: Atlanta’s 19th Celtic Christmas concert features a cast of over three dozen of the region’s most cherished traditional musicians, singers and dancers, as well as several internationally acclaimed artists.

Why go: The Academy Theatre and the Atlanta Radio Theatre Company have teamed up once again to present An Atlanta Christmas. Written by Thomas E. Fuller and adapted by Daniel Taylor, this show is a celebration of how Atlanta carries on a 2000-year tradition in a uniquely Southern way.

Why go: There will be a variety of musical performers from solo acts, duos, trios, quartets and quintets. All forms of musical and family friendly styles from classic folk, pop and light rock, even some jazz and holiday favorites will be represented. There will be youth performers and a belly dancer.
