Dine Out and Help the MLK Project

Some Decatur restaurants will donate a percentage of their proceeds to the MLK Service Project on Tuesday, Sept. 18.

Next Tuesday is Restaurants for Repairs day in Decatur.

A number of restaurants plan to donate a portion of their proceeds that day to the .

The MLK Day Service Project is a major undertaking in Decatur, with churches, school groups and civic organizations pitching in on the MLK weekend to clean up yards and repair houses for lower income senior citizens.

In conjunction with Restaurants for Repairs, city staffers will be selling "Keep It Indie-Catur" shirts for $15 on the square between 5:30 and 9 p.m.
