Good morning, Decatur and Avondale Estates. Here are 5 Things to know about today.

1. Weather. Mostly sunny all weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will have high temps in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 60s. There's a 20 percent chance of rain Saturday.

2. CPR Training. The City of Decatur offers a monthly CPR training class that's free for residents, $50 for nonresidents. This month it's begina at 9 a.m. Saturday at City Hall at 509 N. McDonough St. To register or for info, contact Francisco Albizu at Francisco.­Albizu@­decaturga.­com.

3. . Friday through Sunday, new students will be welcomed and taught the basics about the women's college in Decatur.

5. On this date. In 1981, a judge sentenced Mark David Chapman to 20 years to life in prison for killing musician John Lennon. Chapman attended Columbia High School in DeKalb County.
