Good morning, Decatur and Avondale Estates. Here are 5 Things to know about today.

1. Weather. Mostly sunny all weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will have high temps in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 60s. There's a 20 percent chance of rain Saturday.

2. CPR Training. The City of Decatur offers a monthly CPR training class that's free for residents, $50 for nonresidents. This month it's begina at 9 a.m. Saturday at City Hall at 509 N. McDonough St. To register or for info, contact Francisco Albizu at Francisco.­Albizu@­decaturga.­com.

3. . Friday through Sunday, new students will be welcomed and taught the basics about the women's college in Decatur.

4. Cheapest gas. Late Thursday, the lowest price in the Decatur and Avondale Estates area was $3.36 at RaceTrac at 3858 Covington Highway and QuikTrip 4113 Covington Highway. Check the Patch Commute page for other low prices.

5. On this date. In 1981, a judge sentenced Mark David Chapman to 20 years to life in prison for killing musician John Lennon. Chapman attended Columbia High School in DeKalb County.
