"When the Emory Unit Went to War"

Runs until March 29 2014. Closed Nov. 27-29. Closed on 12/24 & 25 and 12/31 & 1/1. Closed Jan. 19.

The stories of Emory doctors, nurses, and enlisted men who comprised Base Hospital 43 during World War I and World War II will be the focus of this exhibition at Emory University’s Woodruff Health Sciences Center (WHSC) Library. The display will feature diary entries, scrapbooks, photographs, uniforms, and books about the unit. The materials, drawn from WHSC Library’s historical collections and Emory’s Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library (MARBL), will include the complete nurse’s uniform of Leila Anderson, who served in France during World War I.
