One of the greatest things about Avondale
Estates is the mix of old and new… homes built in every decade since the 1920s
when Avondale began as one of the country’s earliest planned communities and
the mix of long-time residents and people who have just moved to town! This
year’s tour embraces our unique community as we open two of the oldest homes in
the city as well as several of the newer ones. Our homeowners include residents
who have lived in Avondale for years and those who have just moved to town.

Purchase or pick up
tickets at the Avondale Community Club, a historic structure built as a
boathouse on Lake Avondale in the 1920s. Here you will visit the festive
Holiday Market featuring great foods, unique gifts and fun finds! Shop 30 booths to purchase a variety of items such as
handmade jewelry, personalized Christmas ornaments, soaps, jams and jellies,
baked goods, pecans, grits bits, and cured meats. Be
sure to visit the Authors' Corner, where you can meet local authors, Mary Kay
Andrews, Casey Kallenberg Dunn, Vicky Shecter and Jeffrey Small.
The holiday café will serve delicious
homemade soups. Come to the market, have a bite to eat and pick up a tour
ticket!

Tickets for the tour may
