About Adrian Blu:


"Adrian Blu is an acoustic singer/songwriter in the soul/R&B Genre
from Baltimore, Maryland but now residing in Atlanta. Blu's musical
foundation comes from growing up in the Pentecostal church listening to
artists like Andre Crouch, Walter & Edwin Hawkins,Commissioned, The
Winans, and The Clark Sisters. Blu's Secular influences are an eclectic
blend of artists such as Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder,
Parliament Funkadelic,Earth Wind & Fire,Billy Preston, Brian
Wilson(beach boys),and James Taylor. Blu's intent is to create music
that promotes relationship competence, celebration of life, emotional
well-being with a spiritual over tone.

In 1998, Adrian toured
south Africa in support of an inspirational indie album he was featured
on. In 2004 Adrian toured Japan as a backing vocalist with the world
reknowned indie soul, jazz, fusion band "Fertile Ground". In 2012,
Adrian toured Addis Ababa, Ethiopia as a lead and supporting vocalist
with an Atlanta-based corporate band. While in Ethiopia, Adrian recorded
two projects, "Akoostik Prelude" (itunes) and Akoostik Trooth (itunes).
