Weekender: Decatur Farmers Market

Here are five things to do this weekend in and around Decatur and Avondale Estates.


Decatur Farmers Market.Β  Fresh local produce will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at West Trinity Place and North McDonough Street.

Live music.
At Big Tex Cantina, Frank Barham on Saturday and Bluegrass Brunch on Sunday. At Eddie's Attic, Delta Moon and Mike Hicks and Jason Eskridge on Friday, Brian Webb and Annie Sellick and the Hot Club of Nashville on Saturday and Scott Cram on Sunday. At Kavarna, Clibber Jones Ensemble with special guest Klimchak on Saturday and David McClatchey on Sunday.

Laughing Matters. This improv company, which had been performing at the Academy Theatre in Avondale Estates, will entertain at 8 p.m. Saturday at Manuel's Tavern.

Go to the museum. Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders get free admission to the Atlanta History Center and the High Museum of Art on Saturday and Sunday.

New movies. The Lone Ranger, Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain, Despicable Me 2.
