Weekender: Flea Market For Children's Home

Here are five things to know about weekend fun in Decatur and Avondale Estates.

Flea market. There will be plenty of bargains at this sale sponsored by the United Methodist Children’s Home Auxiliary. Starts at 9 a.m. Friday at 500 S. Columbia Drive in Decatur. Free.

Live music in clubs. At Eddie's Attic, Eric Brace & Peter Cooper with David Olney on Friday; Jeanne Jolly with special guest Nick Hagelin and Barry Waldrep with speical guest Charli Robertson on Saturday; Cowboy Envy with Canaan Smith with special guest Kristian Bush on Sunday. At Kavarna, the Doors tribute band Dirty Doors on Saturday. At Big Tex Cantina, Bluegrass Brunch on Sunday.

New movies. Grown Ups 2, Lootera, Pacific Rim.

Jazz on the Lawn. Mojo Dojo will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Callanwolde Arts Center at 980 Briarcliff Road NE. $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

Atlanta Street Food Festival. This is billed as the largest food truck gathering in the Southeast. More than 25 food trucks, local merchants and artisans are expected to gather from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at Piedmont Park. A couple of bands will play, too. Free admission.
