Weekend Planner: It's The Tour deCatur

Besides the 5K run/walk, you can also hear opera singer Indra Thomas at Agnes Scott, see "Anything Goes" at the Decatur High Performing Arts Center, attend the DeKalb History Center annual meeting or go to the Museum School Family Fun Fitness

Here are five fun things to do this weekend. For a full list of ideas, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Opera at Agnes Scott. Singer Indra Thomas will perform works by Brahms, Copeland and others at 7 p.m. Thursday in Presser Hall, Gaines Chapel. Free and open to the public.

2. 'Anything Goes.' Decatur High students perform Cole Porter's 1930's musical at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the school's performing arts center. Tickets $5 and $10.

3. History Center annual meet. There will be a silent auction, food drinks and music at the DeKalb History Center, starting at 6 p.m. Friday. Free admission.

4. Tour deCatur. This 11th annual run/walk fund-raiser for the Decatur Education Foundation starts at 8:45 a.m. Saturday with a 1-mile race, followed by the 5K at 9:15 a.m. and a tot trot at 10 a.m. It all happens at Decatur High, but this year the event starts on Commerce in back of the school and takes a different route because of road work. $30.

5. Museum School Family Fun Fitness Day. Games, rides and healthy ideas for everybody at 10 a.m. Saturday at the campus at 923 Forest Blvd. Free admission.
