Sugar Creek Garden workday. Bring some gloves and help prepare this community garden, which is part of the Wylde Center. The garden is at 118 Second Ave., Decatur, behind the Oakhurst Presbyterian Church. Starts at 10 a.m. Monday.

Author signing at Decatur Library. Margaret Wrinkle will discuss her book "Wash," a debut novel which takes readers on a journey across continents and through time, from the American South to West Africa. At 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at the library. Free.Β

Happy anniversary! Ray's Originals at 32 North Avondale Road celebrates its 66th year in business from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. The public is invited.
