On June 21, Jianchang Wu was struck by a car while crossing on foot at the Landover Drive intersection.

On April 30, 2012, bicyclist Paul Taylor was struck by a truck at the Willivee intersection. A white "ghost bike" is chained to a spot nearby to memorialize his life.

Nobody was charged in either incident.

11Alive reported that people who live along the road are asking for pedestrian improvements, such as more crosswalks.
