The last time that I went to Cafe Lily, I was served water ina glass that had soap scum dried on it. The wait persons tthought it was no big deal. The Manager refused to talk to me about it.

Radial Cafe. Hard to believe it was left off this list, yet Thumbs Up made it on here. So here's my nomination for Radial.

Patrick, Radial is great but I left them off the list because they're outside the Decatur Patch coverage area.

After several weeks of use, water glasses made of tempered glass scratch and wear to the point that they appear to have something on them. But even if it was soap, or whatever, I refuse to believe that Cafe Lily wouldn't have addressed the situation. Their service is outstanding.

I have personally always found the staff and management of Cafe Lily to be superior in their treatment of guest. Never rushed to turn a table nor any minor problem not dealt with in a professional manner. As explained to me once by Mr Angelo and continued by Mr Anthony...."we want you to feel like you are dining in our home"....perfect for an evening out with friends or a special treat for Mother's Day.

Cakes and Ale is closed on Sundays! Wish they would do a brunch, though.

I have frequented this place for 10 years and I find this very hard to believe. The tradition that was begun with Mr. Angelo and continued to this day with Chef Anthony would not allow such a thing. I do not know to which "manager" you are referring, but I am sure they are no longer there. The wait staff has always been the most attentive to all needs of every one at my table at all times. Please do not let this one time deprive you of one of the most extraordinary dining experiences in Atlanta and Decatur. Give them another try.

Johnathan, the Cakes and Ale website says the bakery is open for Sunday brunch, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. http://cakesandalerestaurant.com/bakery/bakery_lunch.html

Oh. The bakery. Makes sense. Thanks for the update. I've not been so impressed with the bakery so far, however. I'll have to keep my vote for Cafe Lily.
