Movie Filming at Avondale Marta Station

If you see SWAT teams and hear sirens, it's probably part of the movie 'Solace.'

Decatur has become one of the favorite places to shoot movies and television shows in the Metro area.

City Hall reports that a movie called Solace is shooting today at the Avondale Marta Station. If you hear sirens and see SWAT teams around the station, it's most likely part of the movie. The police department knows about the filming.

Here's the message from Katie Abel at city hall.

The City of Decatur has issued a film permit to Supersensory, LLC for the project titled SOLACE. Filming will take place today through early Saturday morning on the property of the Avondale Marta Station. The movie is a thriller, and there is a chance bystanders may see or hear police, SWAT teams, flashing lights, and possible special effect sounds during the filming on Marta property. Please keep in mind this is all simulated and both Marta police and the Decatur Police Department are aware of the ongoing project.
