Memorial Day at Decatur Cemetery
In an annual tribute to soldiers who died in war, members of the Decatur High Close Up Club and Decatur residents gathered at the city cemetery.
Last Thursday, members of the Decatur High Close Up Club placed flags on graves of the war dead in Decatur Cemetery.
On Monday, club members removed the flags. Roses were laid on the Veterans Rock.

Pictured placing a rose on the Veterans rock at the Decatur Cemetery are left Mrs. Veronica Warren, a Gold Star mom who lost her son Charles Warren in Iraq in 2005 and Ms. Jenell Clark, Close Up mom and investigator for the Small Business Administration. I would like to thank the Friends of the Decatur Cemetery, Dave and Tony at Intown Ace Hardware for providing the flags, Eric, Robin, and Alex at Mid City Management for providing the roses, Fran and Henry Frantz for the music, and all the volunteers that participated in Decatur Cemetery Memorial Day ceremony. God Bless America and those who gave their lives to ensure our freedom.
