A group against construction of a large mixed-used development in Decatur has announced its existence and outlined its positions in a flyer.

The Coalition for Responsible Growth wants to stop the 315 West Ponce development, which would be composed ofΒ  235 apartments, 10,000 square feet of retail space and a seven-story parking garage.

The members of the coalition are from the Clairmont-Great Lakes and the 335 West Ponce condo building near the proposed construction site.

A resident of 335 West Ponce recently filed a lawsuit against the developer, Carter, and the City of Decatur and the city's zoning board of appeals.
