DeKalb Medical To Hold Career Fair

If you're looking for work, you may want to visit from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10.

The medical center is holding a career fair in the auditorium of the Bobbie Bailey Women’s Tower and Surgery Center to find applicants for certain positions.

Here's what DeKalb Medical says.

“The positions we have available are critical to the daily operation of DeKalb Medical, and we hope to meet, and hire well-qualified individuals who can fill these positions,” said Lisa Lohr, PHR, Human Resources Consultant.  “While there will be opportunities in the future for new graduates, we want to focus our attention during this career fair on individuals who already have previous work experience in the fields we will be interviewing for.”

The positions available for interviews include, and are limited to:  

Care Management

• Case Manager - RN
• Case Manager - SW

 Medical Records

• Coding & Billing Edit Specialist
• Inpatient Coding Analyst
• Outpatient Coding Analyst
• Outpatient Coding Auditor

 Radiology

• Cat Scan Technologist (part-time & PRN)
• Interventional / Specials Technologist (full-time and PRN)
• MRI Technologist (full-time)
• Ultrasound Technologist

 Nursing

• Nephrology/Dialysis
• Interventional Radiology
• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Long-Term Acute Care
• In-house Resource Pool

 Continuing Quality Management

• Performance Improvement Coordinator

 Building Services

• Assistant Project Manager-Building Services

  Candidates are asked to come dressed professionally with an up-to-date resume and cover letter.  The length of each interview will vary based on candidate turn-out.  However, all candidates will have the opportunity to informally meet with a hospital recruiter, one-on-one to discuss a position in detail. 

If applicable, candidates may interview for more than one position.  Please note, it is not necessary to bring a formal application to the career fair, as this will only be a preliminary interview process.
