Black History Event Honors Living Legends

The DeKalb History Center will honor outstanding African-Americans who made contributions to the arts on Thursday for Black History Month.


The Dekalb History Center will honor outstanding African-Americans who made contributions to the arts during its sixth annual Black History Month celebration from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Historic DeKalb Courthouse located at 101 E. Court Square in Decatur.

The event includes: 

  • A special performance by the DeKalb School of the Arts
  • A seated luncheon by Zest Atlanta Catering
  • And Carolyn Glenn as the Mistress of Ceremonies

Tickets can be purchased for $30 each if you are a member of the DeKalb History Center or $35 if you are not. You can purchase tickets by going to their membership page and scrolling down to the "Donate" button.
