The burglary next door. A woman in the 2500 block of Midway heard a banging noise around noon June 9 and asked her husband to see what caused it. He went outside and saw a white Honda accord speeding from the neighbor's driveway. When police arrived, they found glass broken in a side door and the front door open. The resident was not home, but it appeared a laptop and television were stolen. Police checked the tag number and discovered the Honda had been reported stolen recently in DeKalb County. The house was secured and the resident notified through a friend.
Burglar alarm: Police went to a house in the 300 block of Mimosa Drive around noon June 7 after a burglar alarm was activated. Police found a side door broken open. A neighbor came over and deactivated the burglar alarm. It was not known if anything had been stolen. The homeowner was notified.
