Corrections and Clarifications

We take transparency seriously. We're committed to accuracy, to acknowledging our mistakes, and to fixing them as quickly as possible. Corrections are marked with an asterisk (*) in stories where errors have been fixed, accompanied by an editor's note in italics at the bottom of the story. 

We do our best to get the facts right, but sometimes even Homer nods. If you see a factual error, tell us about it and we'll make sure we get it right.

Here are our recent mistakes:

- Correction: A story on July 3 stated that the first Peachtree Road Race started at Georgia State University. In fact, the race began at the corner of Peachtree and Roswell Road, and ran along a 6.2 mile course through Atlanta into Central City Park, now Woodruff Park.

- Correction: "International Community School Seeks New Home: Wants Avondale Middle," incorrectly stated that the DeKalb charter school has interest in Avondale Middle School as a potential location to consolidate its two campuses. The story was amended on March 18 with a correction. Please see new story http://patch.com/A-fV9n for details. We've also added a note in the story to alert readers of the correction.

- Correction: A story on March 15 "International Community School Seeks New Home: Wants Avondale Middle," incorrectly stated that the DeKalb charter school has interest in Avondale Middle School as a potential location to consolidate its two campuses.
