Best Bike Lanes In the ATL!

Creative Loafing also hands out prizes to several Decatur restaurants in it's annual "Best Of" issue.

Decatur made a good showing in Creative Loafing's Best of ATL listings, earning honors for food, drink -- and bike lanes.

Nobody knew it was even a category, but the city won the title for Best Bike Lanes for Aiding Traffic Flow, meaning the lanes on West Ponce and West Trinity Place. The CL Staff also gave the city kudos for the bike box at the intersection and reducing car lanes from four to two on West Ponce, calling the project “a great step for a city that’s building on its reputation as a paradise for progressives.”

The CL staff named the Best New (Old) Restaurant in the ATL, saying, the move to a new location didn’t hurt quality. “Cakes & Ale 2.0 lives up to and surpasses its predecessor, much to our relief and delight.”

was named Best Evolution for Decatur, with the CL staff telling the beer-loving, pub-food-eating town that “variety is the spice of a neighborhood and No. 246 has provided you with some much-needed diversity.”

has The Best Veggie Meal at a Non-Veggie Restaurant and Community Q has the Best Barbecue. , from Avondale Estates, was named the Best New Beer.
