Boston Police are reporting at least three people died and scores were injured after two explosions occurred Monday afternoon near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
Eight of the marathon runners in this year's race listed the Decatur community as their hometown.
An accounting of those runners was not available, but Luis Dominguez of the Big Peach Running Co. store in Decatur said he'd heard from some local runners who were not injured.
Video of the incident shows the explosion knocking runners and bystanders to the ground following the blast.
