DeKalb County School Bus Drivers to Poor to Quit

Can you imagine after working for over 25 years for DeKalb County School System that all the money you collect from Social Security at 65 is just $200.00 a month?
Well that is the hazards for School Employees, no money is taken out for Social Security. And if your a bus driver it's considered a part time job so nothing is being put into a retirement account for you either. So your left having to go back to work driving a school bus well into your 70's.

But here is the real zinger for people to think about, for any field trips, overnight trips for band, sports competitions, etc.  the school board uses outside contractors to transport our young people.
Makes me wonder if the school board used the staff they already have to fulfill those trips, would that mean most of there drivers would be considered full time employees just like teachers and janitors?
