Private Bank of Decatur relocates parking

Board of Advisors member suggestion taken to heart

Private Bank of Decatur recently relocated its complimentary parking spots from directly behind One Decatur Town Center – still to the rear of the building but toward the side.

“It’s a better set up for our customers,” says Judy Turner, the bank’s President. “It’s a bit easier to navigate in and out and enables customers to enter the bank from either side of the building.”

Turner says the change came about when another tenant shifted space, facilitating the change. “The credit goes to our customer and friend Chris Brigman,” she says. “He suggested we make the swap and it was a great, simple idea.”

Brigman, the founder of Decatur-based Brigman & Associates, a commercial real estate firm, is a member of the bank’s Board of Advisors, and has banked with Turner for more than 25 years. The Advisors are community members who extend and broaden bank relationships, helping bring another perspective to the bank.

“This kind of suggestion may seem small, but we want to do all of the little things we can to be the best banking partner we can be to our customers,” she says. “Listening is crucial to providing both the service level our customers want and the tailored approach to which they have responded so well.”

In addition to the complimentary spaces, Turner notes that there is no charge for deck parking less than one hour. “Of course, there is ample metered parking on the street in front of the bank, plus so many folks in Decatur walk in to see us,” Turner says. “Add to that the fact that more and more of our customers are taking advantage of remote deposit options, online banking and mobile banking; they rarely have to visit the bank in person, but I am always happy when they do – the best part of what we do is helping and interacting with the great folks here in my home community.”

Private Bank of Decatur is located at the corner of East Ponce and Church: One Decatur Town Center, Suite 120, 150 East Ponce de Leon Avenue. It promises full-service community banking with a private-banking approach; that is, all clients across all functions of the bank receive the same heightened service level other banks reserve for only high-net-worth customers.

The bank is a division of Private Bank of Buckhead, which is designated a Preferred Lender by the U.S. Small Business Administration and includes a dedicated mortgage solutions unit, Private Mortgage Solutions. Both the SBA and mortgage facets are represented in Decatur.
