Carrot + Stick Brandbuilders sold, launches new brand

Carrot + Stick, a Decatur, Georgia based company founded 17 years ago by Three Taverns Beer pioneer Brian Purcell as a promotional products provider, has been purchased by Joel Gould and has launched a new brand with expanded creative service offerings as Carrot + Stick Brandbuilders (www.carrotandstick.com).

Gould has spent the last 18 months developing a strategic plan to grow Carrot + Stick. The company now provides design services ranging from agency support to brand strategy, identity development, advertising, digital and social media, brand activation, and creative solutions for brand merchandise.

The Carrot + Stick team includes Courtney Covault and Carroll Knabe in sales roles, Hein van der Heijden as designer and Sam Barry as director of marketing. Collectively, the team boasts over 85 years of experience in corporate marketing and agencies.

The new brand includes a new logo, a redesigned website that goes live today, and expanded social media presence. “Carrot + Stick may have been the best kept secret in the area,” explains Gould “but now we’re letting the story out. Our clients include not only some of the most respected agencies in town but also some of Atlanta’s most famous corporate citizens.” Current clients include The Coca-Cola Company, Delta, Heineken USA, JWT, The Integer Group, Hothouse, the City of Decatur, Serenbe and Brick Store Pub.
