Brick Store Pub sanitation grade

Dear Brick Store friends and patrons:

We are equal parts embarrassed, angered and motivated  by the score recently given to us by the Dekalb County Health Department. We truly regret the distress  this causes  those who have supported us so faithfully over these 17 years. Be assured this score is not indicative of our dedication to food safety. Nor is it one that will ever be repeated.

That said, the restaurant sanitation grading system is seriously flawed, and we disagree with several key interpretations of the code that led to this grade. However, we are committed to working with the health department to avoid vagaries and confusion in the future. Please remain confident in our ability to provide you with outstanding dishes prepared in a safe setting.
