Bert Haifley Named Task Force Manager for Hotel Equities

Atlanta-based Hotel Equities (HE) recently named Bert Haifley to the position of Task Force Manager for the firm’s portfolio. 

 

As Task Force Manager, Mr. Haifley is available to assist in new transitions and acquisitions for the firm as Hotel Equities continues its strong growth momentum.  His responsibilities cover the overall operation of the hotel including hiring, training and all of the metrics required to assure its success. This is an opportunity to continue to hit the ground running day one on all new hotels that come into the portfolio and make a real difference quickly for HE’s ownership groups.

Mr. Haifley came to Hotel Equities from the Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Buckhead where he held the General Manager position for Interstate Hotels.  He began his hospitality career with John Q. Hammons Hotels at the Holiday Inn North in Springfield, Missouri as the Assistant General Manager and Director of Food and Beverage.  In his 17 years with the firm, he held several posts including Opening GM at the Courtyard Fort Smith, Arkansas and, later, at the Residence Inn Joplin, Missouri.  In 2012, he moved to metro Atlanta as the General Manager for the Courtyard by Marriott Decatur for Noble Investment Group.  He has won several ‘opening hotel of the year’ accolades.

 

Mr. Haifley is a graduate of Missouri State University with a B.S. in Hospitality and Restaurant Management.  He and his wife reside in Decatur, Georgia with their young daughter.  Active in his church, he volunteers at several local nonprofit organizations.  A baseball fan and sports enthusiast, he enjoys golf, running and cycling.
