Bank adds experienced relationship manager

Roopa Bhandari joins Private Bank of Decatur

Atlanta, December 18, 2013 – Private Bank of Decatur has named Roopa Bhandari a Banking Officer and Relationship Manager. She is an experienced banking professional who has 15+ years’ experience in the local banking market.

“Roopa is adept at establishing a rapport with customers,” says Judy Turner, President of Private Bank of Decatur, “learning their business and banking needs. That enables her to be the trusted advisor our customers need, whether for personal or business banking or both.”

Bhandari holds a bachelor’s degree from Chatham College and is a 2010 graduate of the Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Leadership Class.

“I enjoy being part of a strong banking team that truly believes in building relationships with the clients,” Bhandari says. “By listening, we tailor their banking needs, whether they are a large or small customer. In short, I treat them as I would want to be treated – like family.”

She also gives her time to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, to St. Jude’s and serves on the board of the Buckhead Business Association, and has worked with the National Kidney Foundation, public television and CHRIS Kids.

Not surprisingly, Bhandari has international interests – she is an avowed anglophile and is multilingual – given that she was born in East Africa (Nairobi, Kenya) and lived in England and Canada before moving to Massachusetts and eventually Atlanta.

Private Bank of Decatur brings a private banking approach to all clients across all functions of the bank. It is a division of Private Bank of Buckhead, which is designated a Preferred Lender by the U.S. Small Business Administration and includes a dedicated mortgage solutions unit, Private Mortgage Services. Both the SBA and mortgage facets are represented in Decatur.
