Decatur's New Orleans SnoBall Cafe Opening in Stone Mountain

This will be the second location for the Decatur business.


New Orleans SnoBall Cafe on West Ponce in Decatur is opening a location in the city of Stone Mountain. This will be its second cafe.

On its Facebook page, under a photo with "In Stone Mountain Village" written across the top, the company wrote:

We are less than a week away from celebrating our SECOND LOCATION! You are ALL invited to our April 21st, Sunday celebration with Kayla Taylor live Jazz on the patio ... Announcing our 2nd location!!! Be there for all the Fun & Details....

Main Street Stone Mountain executive director Susan Ryles said it will be located near the Suntrust building in the city of Stone Mountain.

Patch will update this story soon with the address as well as a projected opening date.

New Orleans SnoBall Cafe opened its first location in Decatur, at 340 W. Ponce de Leon Ave., nearly three years ago. Besides its shaved ice treats, it serves popcorn, ice cream, coffee and more.

I grew up in New Orleans, and snowballs there are unlike anywhere else. The ice is fine, the syrups are more flavorful. This place is authentic, and I am so happy their business has been successful. If y'all haven't tried this place, you are missing out on an authentic, sublime treat.
